Q: What is the profile of a typical software commission for MTC Soft?
A: Answer: If we consider the installation of one of our products with some sort of adaptation for the client, we must take into consideration different three factors:

  • The installation itself, including the initial configuration, the startup, and the formation of users.
  • The ongoing maintenance of the program, small changes which made during a limited time to adapt he program to the necessities of the customer
  • Technical support (usually by years), both telephone and personal assistance, help with starting up new systems, reinstallation due to virus or hardware problems, incorporation of new users... all the operations necessary to keep the application functioning and the customer happy

Q: What’s MTC Soft customer support like?
A: The first level is telephone support, which we provide on a yearly basis and with no limit on calls. We use a remote software connection which permits our support staff to take control of a client’s computer, as if they were sitting alongside them (always with the collaboration of the client to enter in their system). Some problems require consultations with our programmers, the second level of attention, in cases where they have to make a change in the program or simply help the technicians to solve the problem.

There are occasions when customers solicit a personal visit, or when the type of incident requires it. We visit clients in all of Spain from our offices in Granada or Madrid, normally within one day, if the incident is urgent and hasn’t been solved by a remote connection.

Q: What guarantees does MTC Soft offer their customers?FAQ
A: Since we are the authors of the software we install we can guarantee the resolution of any functional problem which might arise. Beyond that, our ISO 9001 quality certification obliges us maintain a rigorous control of incidents, something we do with our own management program (commonly known as CRM). As far as security is concerned, we’re certified in “Information Security Management” ISO 27001, which demands an exhaustive control of the data which we deal with, not only ours, but also that of our customers.

Q: What’s the business philosophy which guides MTC Soft?
A: Although it may seem a bit out of style, our focus is always on the client: they must feel comfortable with our software, which we design with the customer in mind. And our service must be up to the level of the software, so that our programs always deliver what is expected of them. We consider an unhappy client a very serious problem.

Q: How does MTC Soft distinguish themselves from the rest of the companies in their sector?
A: In the design and development of our applications. We always put ourselves in the shoes of the user. We try not to communicate with the client in computer jargon. Technicalities are never used as an excuse either to do nor not to do something. We like to make attractive, user-friendly programs, always with productivity as the final objective. We’ll invest the time necessary to create attractive, functional interfaces, and screens which make the work seem simple, as if each screen were our company website, as attractive as we can make them, and above all functional.

Q: Is your location in a provincial city like Granada an advantage or a drawback?
A: From the point of view of development it’s simpler and more comfortable (not for the company in the abstract sense, but for all of us individually) to be in the center of a small, manageable city. For business development, especially when it comes to relations with other companies, it’s much better to be in Madrid. But Granada’s advantages amply outweigh its drawbacks. Also, as we’ve had an office in Madrid for the past eight years, that is no longer a problem, either.

Q: I go to Granada occasionally. Could I visit the offices of MTC Soft?
A: Yes, of course, though our offices aren’t particularly attractive. There’s no impressive building, nor machines oozing oil. We’re in the city centers and visitors are always welcome.

Q: The functioning of our business has some non-standard characteristics. We find that shrink-wrapped software usually doesn’t get the job done for us. Do you think MTC Soft could provide us with some custom-made software solutions?
A: The line of text beneath our logo says, “Software development,” because that’s what we do. Our vision of business software is that it’s worth the trouble to pay for an application which facilitates the day-to-day functioning of a business. Each day you recuperate time—and money—thanks to the savings provided by a personalized solution. The ideal, however, is to adapt an existing product because the development of a whole new application—as in a custom-made suit or furniture—can be expensive.
